Modelos MTP
Vista técnica de los modelos detrás de Race MTP: Legacy MTP (mtp-v1) y MTP-Geometric (mtp-geometric-v1).
MTP-Geometric (mtp-geometric-v1)
MTP-Geometric uses the same male and female world-record curves and the same Race MTP formula as Legacy MTP. The difference is how course effort distance is derived: from the track geometry via Minetti running cost, not from Naismith / Method A scalars.
- A curated competition track is converted to geometric equivalent flat distance using Minetti running cost (mtp-geometric-v1).
- Grade is taken from successive track segments (horizontal distance and elevation change along the GPX), not from a single course D+ statistic.
- That equivalent effort distance is looked up on the same male or female WR curve that was valid on the performance date — the same historical rules as Legacy MTP.
- Race MTP = interpolated WR duration ÷ actual duration × 1000 (identical formula to Legacy MTP).
The chart below is the same interactive WR probe used for Legacy MTP. Naismith / Method A markers do not apply to Geometric; on event pages, Geometric uses the curated Minetti equivalent distance when shown.
